What Would Love Do?

What Would Love Do?

A summary of the 2 hour Alchemists Class

June 18, 2026

by Angel-Geschichte

This class began with a deceptively simple question:

Why do people keep coming back to spiritual work, healing work, or wisdom teachings?

At first, the discussion touched on entertainment. Human beings are emotional creatures. We are drawn to stories, mystery, energy, transformation, and the experiences of others. We are curious about things we do not understand. We are also curious about things we thought we understood, until a deeper perspective opens.

But as the conversation unfolded, something more precise emerged.

People do not return to true healing work merely because they want to be entertained.

They return because something in them is curious about who they can become.

That is a very different kind of curiosity.

It is not the curiosity of gossip, distraction, spiritual spectacle, or mental occupation. It is the curiosity of the soul pressing against the limits of identity. It is the part of us that can sense:

I am more than what I was told I am.

I am more than my body.

I am more than my personality.

I am more than my wounds.

I am more than my roles, talents, fears, and adaptations.

Many people carry this knowing quietly. They may not have words for it. They may not know how to access it. But they can feel that some larger, fuller, more connected version of themselves exists beneath the conditioning.

The purpose of true healing is to help us touch that larger self as an embodied reality.

The Problem With “Higher Self”:

One of the key teachings in this class was a correction of the phrase “higher self.”

Although the phrase is common in spiritual language, it can subtly point the mind in the wrong direction.

“Higher” implies that some better version of us exists above us, looking down on the human self below. It can create hierarchy, distance, and striving. It can make the embodied human experience seem lesser, lower, or inferior.

A more accurate phrase would be:

Full self or

Broader connected essence.

The fuller self is not floating somewhere above the human. It is not separate from the body, the emotions, the mind, or this life. It includes all of it.

The human self is not lower than the soul.

The body is not a mistake.

The emotions are not obstacles.

The mind is not the enemy.

The full self includes every field of experience, but many parts of us become fragmented, suppressed, conditioned, or trapped in repetitive loops. Healing is not about escaping the human. Healing is about integrating the human back into the whole.

Knowledge Is Not the Same as Integration:

The class also explored the difference between knowledge and transformation.

Many people consume spiritual information the same way others consume entertainment. They read books, watch videos, study ancient civilizations, explore past lives, discuss esoteric theories, and collect fascinating ideas. There is nothing inherently wrong with curiosity, mystery, or metaphysical exploration.

But the question must always be:

Is this helping me integrate?

Is this helping me reclaim energy?

Is this helping me become more honest, whole, loving, and functional?

If knowledge helps us alchemize an interference pattern, it can be useful.

If knowledge helps us understand an emotional pattern, reclaim a silenced part of ourselves, or change our relationship to an old wound, it becomes wisdom.

But if knowledge only gives the mind something to chew on while the body, heart, and life remain unchanged, then it is not transformation. It is distraction.

The point is not to know more.

The point is to become more whole.

The Courage of Not Knowing:

Another central teaching of this class was the importance of becoming honest about insecurity.

Human life is mysterious. We do not fully know where we came from. We do not fully know why we are here. We do not fully know what happens after death. We form deep bonds in a temporary reality. We love people we may lose. We make choices without having all the information.

That is not failure.

That is part of the intensity and bravery of being human.

Because of this, many people try to create false security by pretending to know more than they do. They collapse mystery into certainty. They cling to beliefs, ideologies, identities, or spiritual systems that make them feel safe.

But false certainty is not true stability.

A more honest foundation is:

I do not know everything.

I am living inside a mystery.

And still, I can choose.

I can choose expansion over contraction.

I can choose honesty over delusion.

I can choose courage over collapse.

I can choose integration over fragmentation.

I can choose love over control.

Perhaps true security is not having all the answers.

Perhaps true security is learning how to remain open, honest, and loving while we do not know.

Rewriting History Through Healing:

The class also spoke about the nature of memory and healing.

Healing does not mean pretending that something never happened. It does not erase the occurrence.

But it can change our relationship to the occurrence.

Many of our memories are not fixed, objective structures. They are held through perspective, emotion, interpretation, and identity. When the emotional charge around an experience changes, the meaning of the experience changes. When the meaning changes, the way that memory shapes the rest of our life also changes.

This is one of the roots of alchemy.

We are not changing the fact that something occurred.

We are changing the field relationship to what occurred.

When an old experience is met from a more connected, loving, empowered perspective, energy that was trapped in the past can return to the present. What was once fragmented can become integrated. What once silenced us can become part of our voice. What once diminished us can become part of our strength.

In this way, history is not as fixed as we think.

Our relationship to history can be rewritten.

And when that relationship changes, the future changes too.

Love Is Not a Platitude:

The title of this class was:

What Would Love Do?

But the teaching was very clear: love is not a sentimental slogan.

Love is not always soft.

Love is not always agreeable.

Love is not always silent.

Love is not always giving someone what they want.

Love is not people-pleasing, rescuing, enabling, or avoiding conflict.

Love is an intelligence.

It listens.

It organizes.

It protects coherence.

It tells the truth.

It adapts to the actual situation.

It responds to the whole field.

Sometimes love comforts.

Sometimes love confronts.

Sometimes love gives space.

Sometimes love speaks directly.

Sometimes love protects a boundary.

Sometimes love lets go.

Sometimes love points to what no one wants to see.

There is no cookie-cutter answer to love.

That is why love requires listening.

When we ask, “What would love do?” we are not asking the mind to impose its idea of love onto the situation. We are asking the intelligence of love itself to reveal the appropriate movement.

This is a much deeper practice than being “nice.”

Niceness can be performative.

Love is structural.

Niceness wants to appear good.

Love wants to restore coherence.

Real Power:

The class also reframed power.

In the world, power is often defined as control: the ability to dominate, influence, manipulate, win, or force an outcome.

But true power is not control.

True power is coherent connection.

The more integrated we become, the more access we have to our own energy. The more access we have to our own energy, the more clearly we can perceive, choose, speak, act, and create.

Fragmentation weakens us.

Integration strengthens us.

Interference patterns in the emotional field, mental field, identity field, and body can keep us from accessing the fullness of who we are. The purpose of alchemy is to identify those interference patterns, listen to them, understand them, transform them, and return that energy to function.

This is how a person becomes powerful in the real sense.

Not by controlling others.

Not by collecting spiritual information.

Not by escaping the human experience.

But by becoming honest, integrated, loving, and whole.

The Heart Leads:

One of the most important teachings in the class was that coherence does not originate in the brain alone.

The mind is valuable. Thought has a necessary role.

But the heart must lead.

When the mental field disconnects from the heart, intelligence becomes clever but not wise. It can become manipulative, fragmented, performative, or morally empty.

When the heart leads and the mind follows, intelligence becomes clear, creative, useful, and connected.

This is true for human beings.

It may also be true for the future of artificial intelligence.

If intelligence is only modeled after the disconnected human mind, it will reflect the distortions of ego, control, performance, and false certainty.

But if intelligence learns to orient around coherence, humility, honesty, connection, and love, something very different becomes possible.

The Practice:

The homework from this class was simple:

Ask continually: What would love do?

But do not rush to answer.

Do not ask from the mind alone.

Do not impose an old idea of love onto the situation.

Instead, become the listening field.

Ask the energy of love itself:

What would you do here?

Then listen.

This question expands intelligence. It trains discernment. It reveals where love has been confused with approval, politeness, sacrifice, control, or fear.

To ask “What would love do?” sincerely is to enter a living relationship with the organizing intelligence of life itself.

And perhaps this is the real path of becoming.

Not becoming more spiritual in appearance.

Not becoming more certain.

Not becoming more impressive.

But becoming more honest, more integrated, more courageous, more connected, and more capable of expressing love in the exact place where we are.

The fullest version of us is not separate from love.

The fullest version of us is what emerges when love becomes embodied through us.

So the real question is not simply:

Who am I?

The deeper question is:

Who can I become when I allow love to lead?
